The Sampling Modulator is a multi-function module that lies somewhere between a VCO, a Sample & Hold, and an 8 step trigger sequencer.Sequencer Clocked Sample & Hold In this mode it acts like a regular Sample and Hold (S&H) but since it is “sequencer clocked”, it is capable of much more interesting patterns than the usual S&H melodies. The CLOCK input can work in two ways: 1. As a typical clock 2. In “positive going hard sync” mode allowing you to create shuffling and polyrythmic effects. The HOLD input can be used to keep certain notes playing.Analog Down-Sampling Effect In this mode (with the clock running at audio rates) you can go from nasty and harsh sampling rate reduction to an almost clean signal. (The clock run up to 25Khz without external CV and up to 200Khz with CV on the input).Sampling Modulator/Shaper Thanks to the V/Oct clock, by feeding a simple waveshape such as a sine wave to IN, and pitch CV to the VCO as well as to the Sampling Modulator CV input, their related frequencies and aliasing caused by the sampling rate reduction are capable of creating clangorous metallic sounds, 8 bit textures and much more. The game becomes much more interesting when you try to destroy the wave by flipping on and off the switches of the sequencer (which at times can make it sound like three VCOs running in unison). To understand how the Sampling Modulator works, keep in mind that we are working with a temperature compensated ramp core VCO with more than 4 octaves of tracking. This allows the timbre to stay the same while you move through the scale as the internal and external VCOs are synced in a fashion similar to “frequency related sampling rate modulation”Unusual V/oct VCO You can use the trigger outputs as a pulse VCO. RANDOM8 is an eight-channel random CV generator and looping voltage sequencer designed for improvisation, generative patching and live performance. Developed in collaboration with Mylar Melodies, it delivers random, repeating and slowly evolving control voltages in a compact 8HP Eurorack module. Each channel generates independent stepped or smoothed voltages from 0–10V. Incoming triggers are normalled between channels, allowing a single trigger source to control all eight outputs or additional triggers to create independent groups. Dedicated attenuators set the output range of each channel, while loop lengths from 1 to 32 steps make it easy to capture and repeat modulation phrases.A single button press switches a channel between looping and evolving operation. Pressing it again locks the current phrase, while a double press returns the channel to fully random generation. Per-channel probability, trigger division, offset and slide provide detailed control over the timing and movement of each voltage. Eight random generation modes include different voltage distributions, alternating high and low values, and wandering modulation that behaves like an invisible hand moving a control. The built-in pitch quantizer transforms any channel into a melodic sequencer, with 14 musical scales, an unquantized mode and a dedicated octave scale. RANDOM8 can generate eight melodies simultaneously or combine pitch sequencing with modulation, animation and LFO-style movement across an entire Eurorack system.Eight presets store the complete module configuration for quick recall, and the one-layer menu system keeps advanced functions accessible without a display.Features• Eight independent random, looping and evolving CV channels.• Adjustable loop lengths from 1 to 32 steps.• Per-channel pitch quantizer with 16 scale options.• Eight selectable random voltage generation modes.• Slide for smooth modulation, LFO shapes and acid-style sequences.• Per-channel probability, trigger divider and voltage offset.• Cascading normalled trigger inputs for grouped modulation.• Individual output attenuators and 0–10V unipolar outputs.• Eight presets for saving and recalling complete configurations.• USB-C firmware updates and free VCV Rack version.• Compact 8HP design with a depth of 30mm.• Power consumption: +12V 60mA, −12V 12mA.

The Garden Listener Eurorack module detects conductivity variations on living beings’ surface and transforms them into MIDI notes and CV signals. For once, leave those LFOs alone, and let any living conductive being modulate your signals. It detects conductivity variations on living beings’ surface and transforms them into MIDI notes, ranging from C-1 to C8, and CV signals (0 – 5V).Its behavior can be tamed through the one-knob menu from which you can choose and modify:• probes’ sensitivity (making it more or less sensitive to current variations)• scale (chromatic, major, minor, indian and arabic)• MIDI channel (from 1 up to 16)• LEDs’ brightnessIt generates trigger, gate, and CV (1V/oct). The CV output behavior can be modified via an octave selector which acts as a “CV equalizer” from which you can choose to generate CV only if the respective MIDI note lies within a certain octave range. The MIDI output allows you to take advantage of the sound of either any synthesizer equipped with a MIDI port or any VST in your DAW.The module comes with 3.5mm white probes and a set of snap-on adhesive reusable electrode pads. A MIDI-TRS type A adapter (not included) is required for the MIDI output.DIY-Kit-Type:SMD-Kit-1. This is a Do-It-Yourself kit, not an assembled module. The kit includes all parts to build the module. The Dannysound Dynamics is a compressor / expander originally designed to process drums but like most processing devices, it can be used for a wide variety of applications. The module comprises of:• Compressor / Expander• Sub Bass Enhancer• 3 Band Inductor-based EQ• Harmonic ExciterThe compressor / expander section uses a discrete transistor-based circuit that allows for soft clipping when overdriven. The envelope detector is known as a feedforward type of circuit; taking it’s input from the signal before it goes to the compressor rather than after. This type of circuit is known for having fast attack times. The Sub Bass enhancer has its own compression circuit that “ducks” the initial transient. This allows the sub bass to be increased without distortionon the transient peaks increasing the overall level. There is a MIX control to allow the unprocessed signal to be mixed back in with the processed signal. The 3 band EQ is an inductor based LCR design. After trying out various EQ topologies this was the design that sounded the nicest. When overdriven it gives a nice “bite” to the sound and it has a certain characterful charm that’s hard to put into words. The controls have a response that are subtle to begin with and get more pronounced as the controls are increased. The Harmonic Exciter adds a little distortion to the high frequencies which bring out the sparkle of cymbals or the snap snare drums. The operating bandwidth can be switched between Low (snare drum snap) or High (Cymbals sparkle). There are inputs for side chaining and control with an external envelope as well as an envelope out to make the envelope detector output available to drive other modules. It also features separate inputs and outputs for the Compressor / Expander and EQ sections, so they could be used as 2 separate modules.Features:• Compressor / Expander• Sub Bass Enhancer• 3 Band Inductor-based EQ• Harmonic Exciter• Envelope In/Out• Sidechain Input• Separate In/Out for Comp/Exp and EQ sectionsDIY-Kit-Type:THT-Kit-1. The LOOPING VCADSR is a 4-stage envelope generator that uses a Microcontroller from Electric Druid to generate a Voltage Controllable,Loop-able Envelope. The individual parts of the Envelope (Attack, Decay, Sustain, Release and Level) can all be individually controlled via CV.This module has 3 MODES of operation:• Normal Envelope – Gate signal fires ADSR• Gated Looping Envelope – ADSR loops whilst gate signal is high.• Looping Envelope – ADSR loops regardless of gate signal. When the envelope is looping, all 5 controls affect the output. Attack and Decay operate, as one would expect. The Sustain control sets the minimum voltage the decay part of the envelope will decay to.The Release sets a release time from the end of the Sustain period to the beginning of the next cycle. When the Sustain is set to 0 you can use the Release control to add a delay between the Attack and Decay cycles. In Normal Envelope mode the Sustain CV input can be used with an LFO source to add amplitude modulation that gradually increasesas the Envelope transitions from the Attack/Decay part of the envelope into the Sustain part. The Level CV is also a useful point for amplitude modulation or can be used for Velocity Sensitivity via CV.Features:• 3 Modes of operation: Normal, Gated Loop, Constant Loop• CV over: Attack, Decay, Sustain, Release, Level• Works with GATE signals from +5V to +12V• Output CV range 0V to +10V• Based on the ENVGEN circuit design from Electric DruidDIY-Kit-Type:THT-Kit-1.
