Erica - DIY Delay

Erica Synths DIY Delay is a hi-fi delay module with unique functionality typically found on advanced factory-produced units.

We developed a custom DSP MCU board (comes pre-soldered and pre-programmed) and delay algorithms for syncable up to 800 ms delays. Selectable Tape and Digital delay, BPM sync, Tap sync makes the module ideal for nuanced sound design. Furthermore Hold (freezes the sound up to 800 ms), Add (adds several layers of sound on top) and Reverse (reverses sound in the hold buffer) functions allow to create crazy sonic artifacts.

The core of the VCO is borrowed from the famous russian synth Polivoks VCO and as an exponential converter we use the original matched transistor IC that was used in Polivoks.

Erica Synths DIY BBD Delay/Flanger is one of the few BBD (bucket brigade delay) chip based DIY modules. The module is designed to provide variety of effects from flanger to delays with adjustable flavours and plenty of modulation possibilities.

We believe that this is one of the most authentic sounding emulations of the famous Russian synth Polivoks VCF that are available out there. Independently buffered inputs, extended Cutoff knob range, eliminated clicks, when switching filter modes, and output stage added to eliminate signal inversion.
