Syntaxis MicoModular

The Micromodular alias µModular is a complete modular analog Synthesizer on a breadboard. The single, very small modules like VCO, VCF etc. have to be placed on a standard breadboard and are connected with standard breadboard wires. As an additional option Syntaxis offer a universal Eurorack PCB on which you can design your own module with any of the Syntaxis Micromodules - clever idea! Please visit the official How-To Website for some basic infos.


For a good start, besides the Micromodules, you need some further parts like potentiometers, audio connectors etc. In the starter kit uKit-1 are already many parts included, so you can start right away but if you are a DIYer it should be not too hard to start with single modules and you can get some needed stuff here in the shop.

Syntaxis - uNOISE-A

Voltage Controlled Noise Micromodule

The micromodule offers white, pink, and brown noise sound. The unit also provides a sample&hold circuit which may be driven by on-board clock or external signal. The S&H cell accepts two SAMPLE signal types: TRIGGER - rising edge triggers SAMPLE, GATE - the signal is passed by when HIGH, sampled when the state changes to LOW, and hold as long as LOW lasts. The micromodule may be used to generate various shades of noise as well as random voltage sequences.
