Strakal Orsel is a tube distortion module that injects organic, vintage character into a modular setup. True to Touell Skouarn tradition, control labels use Breton terminology, while input and output are marked with arrows for clarity.The unit’s topology offers flexible tonal shaping: the Triodenn selector changes the left tube between pentode and triode operation, altering the core sound. The Boukl Retroaktiñ control combines a feedback engage switch with a level pot that ranges from subtle thickening to full, screaming self-oscillation. Gounid sets the balance between the first and second stages. Ampled governs the amount of saturation. A dedicated CV input, Enkas Modulañ, lets external control influence feedback and overall level even when feedback is not engaged.Beyond straightforward distortion, the circuitry produces rich secondary behaviors. With feedback pushed wide the circuit behaves as a powerful effect oscillator whose pitch responds to CV (not calibrated to strict 1 V/oct tracking).
