Analog Thru-Zero Wavefolding VCO/LFOPony VCO is a fully analog Thru-Zero oscillator with wavefolder and dedicated VCA in only 4HP. The module offers great stability and tuning capabilities thanks to its powerful core, based on Sound Semiconductors IC. It comes with range selector, that allows it to go down to LFO range, as well as octave and waveform selectors. In Through Zero oscillators, frequency is controlled by either positive and negative voltage. If FM CV goes below zero, the core will continue oscillating inverting its phase. This “little” change of behaviour allows the core to create a whole new range of timbres that are just impossible to achieve with regular VCOs. If you set the module as LFO, the range of funky modulations will be endless! There is a separate panel for conversion to 1U available. You can use the 1U panel with the normal 3U module, but have to buy it additionally and you have to make some changes by soldering a hand full of SMD parts, but it's quite easy. 1U format keeping the same functionality and control layout. In Through Zero oscillators, frequency is controlled by either positive and negative voltage. Befaco - Sampling Modulator
Befaco - Sampling Modulator

The Sampling Modulator is a multi-function module that lies somewhere between a VCO, a Sample & Hold, and an 8 step trigger sequencer.Sequencer Clocked Sample & Hold In this mode it acts like a regular Sample and Hold (S&H) but since it is “sequencer clocked”, it is capable of much more interesting patterns than the usual S&H melodies. The CLOCK input can work in two ways: 1. As a typical clock 2. In “positive going hard sync” mode allowing you to create shuffling and polyrythmic effects. The HOLD input can be used to keep certain notes playing.Analog Down-Sampling Effect In this mode (with the clock running at audio rates) you can go from nasty and harsh sampling rate reduction to an almost clean signal. (The clock run up to 25Khz without external CV and up to 200Khz with CV on the input).Sampling Modulator/Shaper Thanks to the V/Oct clock, by feeding a simple waveshape such as a sine wave to IN, and pitch CV to the VCO as well as to the Sampling Modulator CV input, their related frequencies and aliasing caused by the sampling rate reduction are capable of creating clangorous metallic sounds, 8 bit textures and much more. The game becomes much more interesting when you try to destroy the wave by flipping on and off the switches of the sequencer (which at times can make it sound like three VCOs running in unison). To understand how the Sampling Modulator works, keep in mind that we are working with a temperature compensated ramp core VCO with more than 4 octaves of tracking. This allows the timbre to stay the same while you move through the scale as the internal and external VCOs are synced in a fashion similar to “frequency related sampling rate modulation”Unusual V/oct VCO You can use the trigger outputs as a pulse VCO. The Eclipse is an analog stereo morphing oscillator that combines the sound character of classic analog oscillators with modern features for advanced sound design. At the heart of Eclipse is a high-precision analog triangle oscillator that tracks accurately over ten octaves. The module provides the full set of inputs and outputs you’d expect from a high-quality VCO, ensuring reliable integration into any Eurorack system.A central feature of Eclipse is its custom waveshaper, inspired by the EMS VCS3. Instead of a conventional wavefolder, this circuit generates rich and complex harmonics with wide-ranging sonic possibilities and dynamic control. The waveshaper concept is expanded into the stereo domain. The result is a dedicated stereo section that allows waveforms to move and spread across the stereo field while maintaining balance, adding a strong spatial dimension to synthesis.Eclipse offers full CV control for all parameters, with smart normalization that enables global modulation from a single source. Additional functions such as XFM, ULFO, Stereo Pulse Array Modulation, Stereo Pulsed Saw Modulation, and RM/AM modes extend the module’s capabilities far beyond those of a conventional VCO.Features:• Analog Stereo Morphing Oscillator• 100% Analog Module• Single high-precision triangle core VCO• 10-octave tracking range with high temperature stability• Morphing waveshaper with 3 modes original circuit design• 2 stereo modes : SPAM Stereo Pulse Array Modulation, SPSM Stereo Pulsed Saw Modulation• 1 quadrature mode : MorphX can be used for wave blending and RM/AM, sidechain ducking• LFO and ULFO modes cycles up to 1h• 3 FM modes: linear, exponential, and custom Xtreme mode• Index input for dynamic FM• Voltage control of both waveshaping and CV depth• Extra square wave based on the waveshaper’s output• Individual outputs: Sine, Triangle, Saw, Square, Sub, Morph-Square• Balanced image with voltage-controlled stereo spread• CV over all parameters• Global modulation hub normalizationDIY-Kit-Type:SMD-Kit-1. Chair Audio - Ilse
Chair Audio - Ilse

available

Ilse is an elegantly minimal, yet fully functional synthesizer voice in a compact 10 HP Eurorack module. The only thing you need to let it meow is a CV source to trigger its 1V/Oct frequency input (or a MIDI to CV converter and a MIDI sequencer) . Because it has a low part count it is ideal for Eurorack beginners or entry-level DIY projects.Ilse is named after a cat, living in the legendary “Villa” in Weimar, Germany. The “Villa” was a place where a community lived and came together. Many underground concerts and parties took place here before the house got sold, renovated, and the mayor moved in. We created the graphics on the aluminum face-plate in her memory. Ilse (the synth) makes great acid sounds, so it was only logical to illustrate a cat tripping. Turn the knobs to make her look around or roll her eyes.Ilse is designed to be affordable, easy to build, yet flexible, and feature rich. It is a synthesizer voice for your Eurorack, but can even be driven without a rack using two 9V batteries (not included).Ilse is fully open source (KiCad schematic and layout is available in a git repository) and inspired by Syntherjack’s single-chip synthesizer Totoro. Check out his website with nice explanations, e.g. on the filter (we use the same filter on Ilse). We extended the design for external voltage control on filter, oscillators and LFO. Unlike Totoro, Ilse is designed around a unique oscillator design, which integrates the exponential conversion directly into the oscillator core. This results in an efficient circuitry saving you build time, parts and costs.PCB and face-plate are manufactured in the EU.Features:Functions• Two saw tooth oscillators• Bridged-T low pass filter with resonance control• Triangle LFO with speed control, and routing to filter and/or oscillators• Simple mixer and detune for oscillatorsControls• LFO Speed, Filter Modulation, Osc Modulation• Filter Cutoff, Filter Resonance• Tuning, Osc2 Detune• Osc1/Osc2 (Filter in)• Output volumeInput/Output• 1V/Oct CV for oscillators (0-5V)• Gate (0-5V)• Filter cutoff (0-5V)• External filter input• Volume controlled output• LFO Speed (linear, via solder pad on back, 0-8V)• Oscillator 2 detune (linear, via via solder pad on back, 0-8V)DIY-Kit-Type:THT-Kit-1. The CubuSynth Engine is a dual analog VCO with wave shaping functions, internal modulations and a chaos generator. It is based around the 3340 chip and features 4 Waveforms + Wavefolder per VCO and 4 Modulated Outputs, all simultaneously. The CubuSynth Engine can work as 2 independent VCOs, or as one complex FM oscillator. With its inernal "Chaos Engine" it creates semi-random voltages, generated by the 2 oscillator cores. This signal is then normalized to the CV inputs for Pulse width modulation and exponential FM. Each of the 2 VCOs offers a switch to select one of the 4 waveshapes to be used by thewavefolders, and the linear FM input normalisations.Features:• 2 VCO cores (voices)• 4 simultaneous wave forms per voice + 4 Modulation Outputs• Wavefolder per voice• Pulse Width modulation• Linear and exponential FM inputs• 1 V/oct tracking stable over up to 10 octaves• Chaos generator with external clock input• Complex internal normalized modulationsDIY-Kit-Type:SMD-Kit-1. The Exhaust adds many features to your Engine VCO module like Sub-octaves, Mixing and a Gate generated by the Chaos signal. You can select one of the two VCO cores of the engine to produce square waves one and two octaves below the oscillators frequency. You can blend between -1 and -2 octaves and set the volume they are mixed into the main “Mix” output. The knobs “VCO1” “VCO2” and “AM” set the level of the selected waveform of each VCO and the AM output from the Engine to the main mix. The “Ext In” input is normalled from the RM output, but you can plug in any other signal to go to the main mix. The V Ref sets a Voltage between 0V and +10V which compares against the chaos signal from the Engine (Chaos attenuator on the Engine doesn't matter). Whenever the chaos signal is higher in voltage than the knob setting, it will give you a gate or trigger signal depending on the switch. There is also a CV input, which offsets your V Ref and can create interesting rhythms.Features:• Two sub-ocatve generator with selection switch, mix knob for -1 and -2 octaves (/2 and /4)• 5 channel audio mixer for 4 different outputs from the Engine and the sub-octave generator• External input for mixing with other signals• Semi-random gate or trigger output generated by the chaos signal• Audio-optimized chaos output• Separate outputs for sub-octave and main mixDIY-Kit-Type:SMD-Kit-1. Dannysound - Cali Oscillator
Dannysound - Cali Oscillator

available

The Cali oscillator is a new and improved version of the classic Buchla 258 wave shaping oscillator with an additional pulse width modulated output. The oscillator features the classic Sine to Square and Sine to Saw wave shaping with dedicated CV control. The Cali Oscillator differs from previous versions of the 258 in that it has a 3-way position switch rather than 2-way.This new middle position features a bonus waveform that will shape from a pulse into a kind of triangular trapezoid shape. The shaping control is more unpredictable in this middle position and the switch reacts to body contact when the wave shape is set low – it can bethought of as an extra bonus waveform, great for producing glitchy sounds! There are dedicated inputs for linear and logarithmic FM and the Cali alsoadds a Pulse output with it’s own width control and PWM CV input. The behaviour of the pulse output can be affected by the position of the waveform switch and wave shape control. The module features Coarse and Fine frequency controls and an LFO mode, LFO range is accessed via an LED pushbutton that alsoacts as the LFO speed indicator – the button will light up when the waveform moves through its positive cycle.Because the wave shape modulation is independent of pitch this oscillator is very useful for creating complex timbres whilst retaining musical pitch.Features:• Sine to Saw/Square Waveform Output with CV over wave shaping• Pulse output with voltage controlled PWM• Linear FM with attenuator• Logarithmic FM with attenuator• Bonus ‘trapezoid’ output• Coarse & Fine controls with LFO mode• Includes power supply isolation on frequency controlsDIY-Kit-Type:THT-Kit-1. The EN129 Thru Zero Oscillator is an all analogue triangle-core VCO specialising in frequency modulation.Analogue through-zero FM modulation produces a wide array of timbres particularly useful for bell like or percussive sounds.Through zero linear frequency modulation can be precisely dialled in thanks to a dedicated CV input attenuator and through zero offset control.Logarithmic FM is also available via it’s own dedicated input with attenuator and both FM inputs have an LED to indicate incoming voltages.Simultaneous analogue wave outputs include: Sine, Triangle, Sawtooth, Square and Pulse wave with Pulse Width Modulation. The PWM control goes to zero at either end of it’s range, which is very useful for creating rhythmic sounds with voltage control.Furthermore the PWM control doubles up as wave shape modulation for the Sawtooth wave – gradually altering the waveform until it shifts half a cycle. The EN129 features Coarse and Fine frequency controls as well as an LFO mode. LFO range is accessed via an LED pushbutton that alsoacts as the LFO speed indicator – the button will light up when the waveform moves through its positive cycle.A new addition of a Soft Sync Input allows the phase of the oscillator to be controlled by an external oscillator for an even greater range of timbres.Features:• Soft Sync Input• Thru Zero linear FM• Logarithmic FM• Zero to zero pulse width modulation• Sawtooth wave shape modulation• Simultaneous outputs for: Sine, Triangle, Saw, Pulse & Square• Coarse & Fine controls with LFO mode• Includes power supply isolation on frequency controlsDIY-Kit-Type:THT-Kit-1. Frequency Central - Shapes

available

Shapes is a wide ranging and fully analogue oscillator which can perform duties as both auxilliary VCO* as well as VC-LFO. Shapes can be configured to cycle continuously, or to provide one-shot shaped outputs. When set to one-shot mode, Shapes may be used as an ersatz envelope generator.Using the Time knob, Shapes can cycle from as low as 8 seconds (whale song) to as high as 19500Hz (bat beeps).Shapes has 3 simultaneous outputs:sawtooth (+/-5V, 10Vpp)ramp (+/-5V, 10Vpp)triangle (+/-5V, 10Vpp)Additional waveforms may be derived courtesy of the Shape knob. Anticlockwise from 0 achieves progressively logarithmic sawtooths and ramps, whereas clockwise from 0 achieves progressively exponential sawtooths and ramps. The effect of the Shape knob on the triangle waveform is asymmetric, anticlockwise from 0 achieves progressively logarithmic leading edge, whereas clockwise from 0 achieves progressively exponential falling edge. Progressively exponential triangle waveforms can be achieved using the Time CV knob (set Shape knob to 0) providing there is no jack in the Time CV input socketTime CV input provides wide ranging control of time. It is possible to dial in something approaching 1V/oct over a limited range, although Shapes has not been designed to perform as an accurately tracking VCO. In the audio range, Shapes comes into it’s own when used as a ‘daughter’ VCO to an external ‘mother’ VCO by patching the ‘mother’ VCO into Shapes’ Gate In input socket – some impressive oscillator sync style effects can be achieved.Gate In can also be used to initiate waveforms in one-shot mode, where a pulse of any length will cause Shapes to complete one cycle.*Shapes has not been designed to perform as an accurately tracking audio VCO.DIY-Kit-Type:THT-Kit-1.
