Polyphonic Synth VoiceBread & Butter is a General MIDI based polyphonic synth voice with 128 selectable instruments plus a drums preset. The sound banks have a synthetic and warm quality to them, and the variety of instruments makes this module a flexible and fun addition in any system.Bread & Butter features the standard V/OCT and GATE inputs for triggering the synth voice. Thanks to a polyphony of up to 64, the voices will decay independently making it possible to ratchet chords that decay polyphonically. If the HOLD function is engaged, each note will also sustain. In addition, the MIDI input can be used simultaneously with the V/OCT and GATE inputs. For example; trigger the drums on MIDI channel 10 while generating a bass line via the V/OCT/GATE inputs. The Sebsongs Modular Sampler DIY kits are now coming with presoldered surface mount components, making the DIY kit faster and easier to build.The Sebsongs Modular SAMPLER is an intuitive 12 bit audio recorder and manipulator designed for short loops and one shots. Sounds can be recorded either with the built in microphone or a mono input jack, which can handle anything from a regular laptop or smartphone to modular level signals. The SAMPLER has granular control of the recorded audio and you can play around with pitch, forward and reverse, start position and loop length (or connect cv/gate to any parameter) to open up a world of interesting sounds!The SAMPLER can be used in looping mode, where for instance time stretch like effects can be obtained easily by modulating the start parameter, or in one shot mode where the reset input is used to trigger playback of the recorded audio and the SAMPLER can function as a drum sample player.The maximum recording length is around 3.5 seconds in the highest sample rate (pitch control fully forward or reverse). If you lower the pitch you get longer recording time. Change the pitch while sampling to obtain pitch fluctuations and tape stop effects.Sound can be recorded either with the built in electret microphone or via mono input jack*. Multi Channel Sound SourceVCOs are probably the most popular modules in the Eurorack world.At its most common form, an oscillator module creates different basic waveforms by shaping its core, which gives us several timbres sharing the same frequency.On Sena, we decided to reorganize those principles. We have the basic waveforms as on any VCO, but each has an independent core and frequency control. In addition, the tuning inputs of each channel are daisy-chained, allowing to create easy transpositions or detuning between them.To maximize stability and tracking accuracy, every channel is designed around the famous 3340 oscillator core, present in many legendary synths like the Roland SH-101 and Jupiter-6, Oberheim OB-Xa, and the Sequential Prophet-5.On top of that, the module counts with four dedicated CV-controlled Modifiers to extend the timbral range of each core: a two-stage Folder for the Sine, a Trapezoid shaper for the Triangle, a Phase modulator for the Saw, and a half-range Pulse-width modulator for the Square.The addition of a complete analog Noise Bank makes Sena a super powerful and compact sound source. The Dual VCO is a 4 HP Dual Voltage Controlled Analog Oscillator Eurorack Module.Each VCO has square, triangle, and sine wave out, coarse and fine tuning controls, a control voltage input, and a switch for selecting exponential or linear cv in. When a control voltage is inserted, the fine tune control becomes an attenuator for the incoming voltage. The Trepanator is a 14 HP analog “Bent by Design” experimental instrument featuring a Dual VCO, Difference Rectifier, 3-band EQ, Sample/Track and Hold, and SVF (state variable filter) all built into one nonlinear module. Its origins trace back to a love for Rob Hordijk’s Benjolin and patching a similar pseudo chaotic feedback-based instrument from scratch using all Zlob modules.Although not based on Hordijk’s circuit or signal flow, it uses a similar architecture of dual voltage controlled oscillators, an “interference pattern generator,” a state variable filter, and internalized cross-patched feedback. Instead of a Rungler and comparator the Trepanator uses a sample/track and hold with slew, a difference/rectifier circuit (based on NLC), and a self-oscillating 3-band EQ. Utilizing this excessive feedback between the VCO’s, EQ, S/H, and SVF, creates a completely new instrument for discovering abstract electronic sounds.
