Midiphy - Wirescanner

Product information " Midiphy - Wirescanner"

Midiphy - Wirescanner is a compact DIY cable tester designed to quickly validate IDC and MicroMatch ribbon cables used in Eurorack, MIDIbox and midiphy hardware builds. Instead of guessing where a cable fault might be, the Wirescanner displays the connection pattern graphically on a 16 × 16 LED matrix, making continuity errors, wrong pin mappings or faulty ribbon cables easy to spot at a glance.

The tool is especially useful when building or servicing complex DIY projects such as the midiphy SEQ v4+, MatriX or other systems using internal ribbon connections. It supports IDC 8/10/16 and MicroMatch 8/10 cables, covering common Eurorack power cables as well as many internal data connections found in synth and DIY electronics projects.

Built without a microprocessor, Wirescanner offers a direct and practical testing workflow: connect the cable, check the LED pattern and confirm whether the wiring is correct. A clean diagonal line indicates a properly wired straight cable, while deviations immediately reveal crossed, missing or problematic connections.

The full kit includes the necessary parts and enclosure, making it a useful workshop tool for DIY builders, modular technicians and anyone assembling ribbon cables by hand. Small, visual and easy to use, the midiphy Wirescanner helps prevent hard-to-trace build errors before they become bigger problems.
