Sonic Potions - Mal-2 - Euro Kit

Mal-2 is a random signal generator mainly intended as CV modulation source. It has 2 modes of operation to provide you with smooth random goodness. Imagine Eris herself lends you a third hand to keep your patches interesting. 1) In the first mode the CHANGE knob morphs from a cubic interpolated (sine like shaped) random signal to a random walk function that could make a wallstreet broker delirious with joy. 2) In the second mode the CHANGE knob sets the self similarity. On the minimum setting the signal is completely random. On the maximum setting the random sequence is locked to a repeating, identical 8 step sequence. In between the sequence seamlessly morphs to new shapes over time. This gives you a random CV where you can shape the bounds in which the chaos unfolds and goes far beyond a slew limited white noise.

Befaco - Rampage (Function Generator) - Euro Kit

The Rampage is Befaco’s approach to an old invention: the Serge/Buchla ramp generator. We took the idea of a “patch programmable” function generator/processor, put two units in the same module and tried to expand them with new funky functions and ways to combine them: Slope detectors, analogue logic functions and a few extra outputs to add some more complex features. The module is built around two voltage controlled integrators. Integrators (also known as Lag Processors or Slew limiters) allow you to process your voltages, converting sharp square waves in ramp-like waveforms.

These devices can, for instance, convert a gate signal into a simple envelope, or achieve a “portamento” or “glide” effect when applied to pitch CV. Other well known application of an integrator is it’s ability to low-pass filter an audio signal. Further information and example patches can be found in the user manual or in the videos.

Dual Atenuverter is a CV/Audio utility module designed to attenuate, invert and apply offset to an input signal.

Features
The “ATENUVERTER” pot will multiply your signal by 1 when turned clockwise and -1 when turned anti-clockwise.

Befaco - Crush Delay - Euro Kit

Second version of our Crush delay. An echo-delay unit based on PT2399 that specializes in generating digital garbage and noise! This unit has been improved greatly from first version and signal routing has been changed to improve performance possibilities. Crush Delay v2 has two VCAs that will control the amount of signal that is sent to the delay. First input routed to dry/wet and delay and second one directly to delay. With this second input and Send output we can do external feedback routings (See block diagram). The biggest improvement has been made to the control of PT2399 itself, applying circuit bending techniques. It has an improved and extended speed control, getting a wider range on Crush area as well as a smoother control, converting this unit into a VC digital garbage generator! It includes three gate controlled switches that enables three bends to the chip, providing an even greater variety of digital noise, glitches and nasty mayhem! Of course, crush Delay v2 can be used as an echo-delay unit with around 400 ms clean delay time. and up to 2 seconds of dirty delay. Befaco - BF-22 Sallen Key VCF - Euro Kit

This is a dual Hi/Low pass filter. Inspired by the famous sallen key filter from MS-20 early version. It has attenuverters (inverter-attenuator) as an addition to the normal CV control in Cut-Off and CV control for the resonance with a little more presence of the resonance than the original. The normal CV control for Cut-Off keeps tracking trough 3 octaves. The ‘Link’ switch connects the input of the second into the output of the first to have it in series. Grayscale - Binary (Logic) Kit

Binary is cooler than you might think! It's a 1-bit analog computer that takes up to six inputs and determines whether the output should be high or low. It is intended to combine gates/triggers from Algorhythm modules, but works with most other CV and audio sources within a modular system. Each input includes an on/off switch that illuminates when a pulse is received. The output can be switched from OR to NOR logic for different applications. This is a complete DIY kit, which includes all components, all hardware, a panel, a PCB, and a power cable. RYO - Aperture (Lowpass Gate / Filter/ VCA) Kit

The RYO Aperture is a vactrol lowpass filter and VCA module inspired by the much beloved 292 Lopass Gate from the Buchla 200 series modular system of the 1970s. However, rather than being a straight up clone, the Aperture is a newly developed and reworked design for eurorack modular synths. Aperture can be used as a 12dB lowpass filter, a VCA or a combination of the two similar to the 292 but also adds a new switchable resonance circuit. This solution gives you no less than 6 different characteristics! RYO - Airtenuator Kit (3 pieces)

The RYO Airtenuator I is a floating passive attenuator you connect between two modules in your rack via patch cables, acting as a volume/modulation depth control between the source and destination. An extremely useful module: Ampmix is an easy to build 4-channel amplifying mixer/attenuator with 2.0x gain (6dB) and 5.0V offset on each channel in an 8HP module. No calibration required. RYO - Paths (Sequential Switch) Kit

4:4 cycling sequential switch, featuring simultaneous forward/reverse stepping, hold, reset, and an additional voltage controlled mode based on the same design as our VC Sequencer. RYO - VC Sequencer Kit

Voltage controlled sequencer. Compact 8-step sequential voltage source in 10HP with optional trigger/gate output expander. Can be expanded to 16 steps, using two VC Sequencers. Two modes: 1) Can be used as classic forward/backward operation using a clock or 2) driven by any control voltages or audio. Examples of this would be a ramp to make it go forward, saw to go backwards, triangle for pendulum, S&H noise for random, another idea would be to create a manually adjustable quantizer. You could also use another sequencer's pattern to control the pattern of the VC Sequencer, the possibilities for exploration are endless. Expanders will offer chaining 2 VC Sequencers for 16 step operation and unlimited extra parallel channels of CV or gate/trig using the TrigXpander with 4HP each. The 16 step expander will add an extra latency and lower the maximum clock frequency in 16-step mode. One interesting thing is that you can also dial in negative voltages, the range is from -5V to +5V.

RYO - Trig Xpander Kit

This will give your VC Sequencer 8 individual outputs for each step outputting either a trigger or a gate, selectable with a jumper on the pcb, and a 9th output that gives you a trigger for each step progression. Also on board is a trimmer for setting the trigger length to your liking (ca 1-20 ms). Usually you wan't to set this as low as possible to reach higher rates. Different trig lengths can give a different sound from pinging filters or striking lowpassgates. Some vintage gear also require longer trigs. The gates are high for the full duration of each step. The outputs are diode isolated, this allows for passive mixing of the outputs using a passive multiple/stackcable/IV cable, or a switched multiple/OR combiner such as the Doepfer A-182 or a Grayscale Binary.

RYO - Penta Kit

The RYO Penta is a simple, but extremely useful compact 4HP 5 step sequencer with buffered output, schmitt triggers on inputs and reverse polarity protection. Totally brilliant for using multiple ones on a patch to control various parameters and generate more 'life', specially if you run for example a 4 step sequence on pitch and parallel a 5 step sequence on filter cutoff, it will generate patterns which are not so easily recognisable. Works brilliant with Paths to generate longer sequences. Sending a clock to the CLK input will progress the sequence, the Penta has 5 minishaft potentiometers for adjusting each of the 5 steps voltages, ranging from 0 to +5V. A pattern length switch is available for selecting 3, 4 or 5 steps pattern length, this can of course also be set by using an external gate or trig into the RST (Reset) input. RYO also added a bonus for the more seasoned builders in the form of +5V GATE output solder pads for each of the sequencers 5 steps, as well as an input pad for HOLD which will lock the sequence to the active step as long as a gate is present. RYO - Resistor-Transistor-Logic Kits

On the first look this seems a bit boring - but it's not! This modules are powerful tools when you work with sequencers and clocks and you want to create interesting rhythmical variations. Combined with for example the 4ms Quad Clock Distributor and driving some Pentas this modules become weapons.

 

The NOR/OR module can be patched as two NOT gates,one NOT gate and one 2- or 3-input NOR/OR gate, one 2-input NOR/OR gate and one 2- or 3-input NOR/OR gate or one 4-input NOR/OR gate. Gate one has three inputs, the second has two. The OR out from gate one is being normalled to input 1 on gate two.

 

The NAND/AND module can be patched as two NOT gates,one NOT gate and one 2- or 3-input NAND/AND gate, one 2-input NAND/AND gate and one 2- or 3-input NAND/AND gate or one 4-input NAND/AND gate. Gate one has three inputs, the second has two. The inputs on gate one is normalled in a 1>2>3 fashion for efficient cable and time-saving patching. The inputs on gate two has also been normalled 1>2, with the AND out from gate one in turn being normalled to input 1 on gate two.

 

The XNOR/XOR/NOT module can be patched as two NOT gates and one 2-input XOR gate, one NOT gate, one 2-input XOR gate and one 2-input XNOR/XOR gate, two 2-input XNOR/XOR gates or one NOT gate and one 3-input XNOR/XOR gate. Gate one and two has two inputs, the third has one. The XOR out from gate one is being normalled to input 1 on gate two. The XOR out from gate two is being normalled to the single input on gate three (NOT).

LVLS is a multi-functional module for processing audio and control voltages in a Eurorack system. It features a preamp, an attenuator, a buffered multiple and a summing mixer in a compact 6HP size. Full DIY kit with PCB, panel and parts.
  • Attenuator - non inverting attenuator, also the output jack is normalled to 10v to give an adjustable DC voltage when no input jack is present
  • Pre-amp - gain of 20dB, designed for integrating ipad/phone or other equipment with a Eurorack system
  • Buffered Multiple (1:2) - two buffered output signals from one input signal, suitable for distributing clock, modulation or audio signals (not 1V-Octave pitch accurate)
  • Summing Mixer (2:1) - summing mixer for quickly summing two signals or adding a DC offset to a signal

What and why the B.I.Y. idea? The B.I.Y. kits are designed to allow anyone to easily create professional quality, reliable versions of their favourite (or personally designed) guitar pedals at home. The circuit board requires no off-board wiring greatly reducing the potential for failure while vastly reducing build time. The board also features dedicated space for a voltage regulator, reverse-polarity protection, filtering capacitors, on/off indicator LED, and creating 1/2Vcc. 

 

We offer 4 different kits: Bazz Fuss (Fuzz), SHO Boost (Zvex Super Hard On clone), Cave Dweller Delay and Tube Screamer (Classic Distortion). They always contain the bare-bones B.I.Y. guitar pedal kit, a predrilled Eddystone aluminium enclosure, all the components, wire and ~5g high-grade solder plus components for the kit of your choice. +12V to +9V Power Converter

Our converter is a top solution for any DIY project that needs clean and stable 9V. Our converter uses 12V (DC) -+20% on the input and generates a stabilized, very clean 9V +-1% of 150mA at the output side. It also is save against wrong polarity on the input, overpower save due a self resetting fuse. It works with this power supply.

+12V to +/-12V Power Converter

We developed this module to power modules like our TR-808 Kick or single Eurorack modules by a standard power supply. It uses 12V to 18V (DC) on the input and generates a symmetrical output of +/-12V (1W) at the output side. It also is save against wrong polarity on the input, overpower save due a self resetting fuse. It's a top solution for any DIY project that needs symmetrical power. A more powerful version is also planned. We also offer a power supply for it.
