Plinky 12 Chords is an expressive harmonic synthesizer built for fast musical exploration, chord performance and melodic inspiration. Created by Making Sound Machines, Chords transforms the Plinky 12 hardware into a touch-first instrument focused on voicings, progressions and immediate harmonic movement.
The 16 × 16 RGB pressure-sensitive touch surface allows direct control over melody, chords and expression, making it easy to move between structured harmony and intuitive performance. The instrument responds to touch, pressure and gesture, turning chord shapes and progressions into a playable, evolving musical surface.
Under the panel, Plinky 12 Chords uses the same powerful synth engine found across the Plinky 12 family, combining sample playback, wavetable synthesis, filtering, wavefolding, envelopes, XY automation and deep modulation. CV, MIDI and USB connectivity make it easy to integrate with modular systems, hardware sequencers or studio setups.
