Befaco / Mylar Melodies - Random8 (Assembled)
Befaco / Mylar Melodies - Random8 (Assembled)

RANDOM8 is an eight-channel random CV generator and looping voltage sequencer designed for improvisation, generative patching and live performance. Developed in collaboration with Mylar Melodies, it delivers random, repeating and slowly evolving control voltages in a compact 8HP Eurorack module. Each channel generates independent stepped or smoothed voltages from 0–10V. Incoming triggers are normalled between channels, allowing a single trigger source to control all eight outputs or additional triggers to create independent groups. Dedicated attenuators set the output range of each channel, while loop lengths from 1 to 32 steps make it easy to capture and repeat modulation phrases.A single button press switches a channel between looping and evolving operation. Pressing it again locks the current phrase, while a double press returns the channel to fully random generation. Per-channel probability, trigger division, offset and slide provide detailed control over the timing and movement of each voltage. Eight random generation modes include different voltage distributions, alternating high and low values, and wandering modulation that behaves like an invisible hand moving a control. The built-in pitch quantizer transforms any channel into a melodic sequencer, with 14 musical scales, an unquantized mode and a dedicated octave scale. RANDOM8 can generate eight melodies simultaneously or combine pitch sequencing with modulation, animation and LFO-style movement across an entire Eurorack system.Eight presets store the complete module configuration for quick recall, and the one-layer menu system keeps advanced functions accessible without a display.Features• Eight independent random, looping and evolving CV channels.• Adjustable loop lengths from 1 to 32 steps.• Per-channel pitch quantizer with 16 scale options.• Eight selectable random voltage generation modes.• Slide for smooth modulation, LFO shapes and acid-style sequences.• Per-channel probability, trigger divider and voltage offset.• Cascading normalled trigger inputs for grouped modulation.• Individual output attenuators and 0–10V unipolar outputs.• Eight presets for saving and recalling complete configurations.• USB-C firmware updates and free VCV Rack version.• Compact 8HP design with a depth of 30mm.• Power consumption: +12V 60mA, −12V 12mA.

As its name implies you could think that SLEW/LFO is just a Slew and a LFO packed together but its more than that.We wanted to design a module around the Slew generator which is an underestimate function of a synth. Its often seen and use as a way to make portamento but we've thought it could be more than that.We wanted to design a small module so it could fit in any case. We wanted it to be ergonomic and easy to use despite its size. But we also wanted to pack as much features as possible to make it a "swiss knife module".The result is SLEW/LFO: a 4 HP wide module, that can be used as portamento, AD envelope, LFO, VCO, Filter, Envelope generator and much more.SLEW/LFO is so versatile that we use it in all our patchs, we are very pleased about it and hope you'll like it as much as we are.DIY-Kit-Type:SMD-Kit-1. Chair Audio - Ilse
Chair Audio - Ilse

sold out at the moment

Ilse is an elegantly minimal, yet fully functional synthesizer voice in a compact 10 HP Eurorack module. The only thing you need to let it meow is a CV source to trigger its 1V/Oct frequency input (or a MIDI to CV converter and a MIDI sequencer) . Because it has a low part count it is ideal for Eurorack beginners or entry-level DIY projects.Ilse is named after a cat, living in the legendary “Villa” in Weimar, Germany. The “Villa” was a place where a community lived and came together. Many underground concerts and parties took place here before the house got sold, renovated, and the mayor moved in. We created the graphics on the aluminum face-plate in her memory. Ilse (the synth) makes great acid sounds, so it was only logical to illustrate a cat tripping. Turn the knobs to make her look around or roll her eyes.Ilse is designed to be affordable, easy to build, yet flexible, and feature rich. It is a synthesizer voice for your Eurorack, but can even be driven without a rack using two 9V batteries (not included).Ilse is fully open source (KiCad schematic and layout is available in a git repository) and inspired by Syntherjack’s single-chip synthesizer Totoro. Check out his website with nice explanations, e.g. on the filter (we use the same filter on Ilse). We extended the design for external voltage control on filter, oscillators and LFO. Unlike Totoro, Ilse is designed around a unique oscillator design, which integrates the exponential conversion directly into the oscillator core. This results in an efficient circuitry saving you build time, parts and costs.PCB and face-plate are manufactured in the EU.Features:Functions• Two saw tooth oscillators• Bridged-T low pass filter with resonance control• Triangle LFO with speed control, and routing to filter and/or oscillators• Simple mixer and detune for oscillatorsControls• LFO Speed, Filter Modulation, Osc Modulation• Filter Cutoff, Filter Resonance• Tuning, Osc2 Detune• Osc1/Osc2 (Filter in)• Output volumeInput/Output• 1V/Oct CV for oscillators (0-5V)• Gate (0-5V)• Filter cutoff (0-5V)• External filter input• Volume controlled output• LFO Speed (linear, via solder pad on back, 0-8V)• Oscillator 2 detune (linear, via via solder pad on back, 0-8V)DIY-Kit-Type:THT-Kit-1. Clatters Machines - Garden Listener
Clatters Machines - Garden Listener

sold out at the moment

The Garden Listener Eurorack module detects conductivity variations on living beings’ surface and transforms them into MIDI notes and CV signals. For once, leave those LFOs alone, and let any living conductive being modulate your signals. It detects conductivity variations on living beings’ surface and transforms them into MIDI notes, ranging from C-1 to C8, and CV signals (0 – 5V).Its behavior can be tamed through the one-knob menu from which you can choose and modify:• probes’ sensitivity (making it more or less sensitive to current variations)• scale (chromatic, major, minor, indian and arabic)• MIDI channel (from 1 up to 16)• LEDs’ brightnessIt generates trigger, gate, and CV (1V/oct). The CV output behavior can be modified via an octave selector which acts as a “CV equalizer” from which you can choose to generate CV only if the respective MIDI note lies within a certain octave range. The MIDI output allows you to take advantage of the sound of either any synthesizer equipped with a MIDI port or any VST in your DAW.The module comes with 3.5mm white probes and a set of snap-on adhesive reusable electrode pads. A MIDI-TRS type A adapter (not included) is required for the MIDI output.DIY-Kit-Type:SMD-Kit-1. This is a Do-It-Yourself kit, not an assembled module. The kit includes all parts to build the module. The Cali oscillator is a new and improved version of the classic Buchla 258 wave shaping oscillator with an additional pulse width modulated output. The oscillator features the classic Sine to Square and Sine to Saw wave shaping with dedicated CV control. The Cali Oscillator differs from previous versions of the 258 in that it has a 3-way position switch rather than 2-way.This new middle position features a bonus waveform that will shape from a pulse into a kind of triangular trapezoid shape. The shaping control is more unpredictable in this middle position and the switch reacts to body contact when the wave shape is set low – it can bethought of as an extra bonus waveform, great for producing glitchy sounds! There are dedicated inputs for linear and logarithmic FM and the Cali alsoadds a Pulse output with it’s own width control and PWM CV input. The behaviour of the pulse output can be affected by the position of the waveform switch and wave shape control. The module features Coarse and Fine frequency controls and an LFO mode, LFO range is accessed via an LED pushbutton that alsoacts as the LFO speed indicator – the button will light up when the waveform moves through its positive cycle.Because the wave shape modulation is independent of pitch this oscillator is very useful for creating complex timbres whilst retaining musical pitch.Features:• Sine to Saw/Square Waveform Output with CV over wave shaping• Pulse output with voltage controlled PWM• Linear FM with attenuator• Logarithmic FM with attenuator• Bonus ‘trapezoid’ output• Coarse & Fine controls with LFO mode• Includes power supply isolation on frequency controlsDIY-Kit-Type:THT-Kit-1. The Dannysound Dynamics is a compressor / expander originally designed to process drums but like most processing devices, it can be used for a wide variety of applications. The module comprises of:• Compressor / Expander• Sub Bass Enhancer• 3 Band Inductor-based EQ• Harmonic ExciterThe compressor / expander section uses a discrete transistor-based circuit that allows for soft clipping when overdriven. The envelope detector is known as a feedforward type of circuit; taking it’s input from the signal before it goes to the compressor rather than after. This type of circuit is known for having fast attack times. The Sub Bass enhancer has its own compression circuit that “ducks” the initial transient. This allows the sub bass to be increased without distortionon the transient peaks increasing the overall level. There is a MIX control to allow the unprocessed signal to be mixed back in with the processed signal. The 3 band EQ is an inductor based LCR design. After trying out various EQ topologies this was the design that sounded the nicest. When overdriven it gives a nice “bite” to the sound and it has a certain characterful charm that’s hard to put into words. The controls have a response that are subtle to begin with and get more pronounced as the controls are increased. The Harmonic Exciter adds a little distortion to the high frequencies which bring out the sparkle of cymbals or the snap snare drums. The operating bandwidth can be switched between Low (snare drum snap) or High (Cymbals sparkle). There are inputs for side chaining and control with an external envelope as well as an envelope out to make the envelope detector output available to drive other modules. It also features separate inputs and outputs for the Compressor / Expander and EQ sections, so they could be used as 2 separate modules.Features:• Compressor / Expander• Sub Bass Enhancer• 3 Band Inductor-based EQ• Harmonic Exciter• Envelope In/Out• Sidechain Input• Separate In/Out for Comp/Exp and EQ sectionsDIY-Kit-Type:THT-Kit-1. The EN129 Thru Zero Oscillator is an all analogue triangle-core VCO specialising in frequency modulation.Analogue through-zero FM modulation produces a wide array of timbres particularly useful for bell like or percussive sounds.Through zero linear frequency modulation can be precisely dialled in thanks to a dedicated CV input attenuator and through zero offset control.Logarithmic FM is also available via it’s own dedicated input with attenuator and both FM inputs have an LED to indicate incoming voltages.Simultaneous analogue wave outputs include: Sine, Triangle, Sawtooth, Square and Pulse wave with Pulse Width Modulation. The PWM control goes to zero at either end of it’s range, which is very useful for creating rhythmic sounds with voltage control.Furthermore the PWM control doubles up as wave shape modulation for the Sawtooth wave – gradually altering the waveform until it shifts half a cycle. The EN129 features Coarse and Fine frequency controls as well as an LFO mode. LFO range is accessed via an LED pushbutton that alsoacts as the LFO speed indicator – the button will light up when the waveform moves through its positive cycle.A new addition of a Soft Sync Input allows the phase of the oscillator to be controlled by an external oscillator for an even greater range of timbres.Features:• Soft Sync Input• Thru Zero linear FM• Logarithmic FM• Zero to zero pulse width modulation• Sawtooth wave shape modulation• Simultaneous outputs for: Sine, Triangle, Saw, Pulse & Square• Coarse & Fine controls with LFO mode• Includes power supply isolation on frequency controlsDIY-Kit-Type:THT-Kit-1.
