Exploding Shed - Christmas Tree Module
Exploding Shed - Christmas Tree Module

available

It's christmas time in your modular rack and this year we invented a proper christmas tree module! The LEDs of the tree change color and are used as oscillators to generate weirdo-sound. There are four sections with two LEDs each which modulate each other. You can patch the oscillator outs to the left or right output with mini-patch wires. With this DIY kit you have 2 options:1) The tree can be used standalone with a 9V battery as a simple light effect which is standing on a table etc. In this version there is no audio possible.2) You complete the whole module and solder the tree to the panel. Then you can make use of the full audio possibilities. This kit is perfect to build it with your kids or finally convince your partner, that modular maybe isn't that bad.DIY-Kit-Type:SMD-Kit-2. Frequency Central - Akropoli
Frequency Central - Akropoli

Akropoli is an extension and enhancement of our successful Little Melody and High Towers modules, offering the features of both of these modules as well as some of it’s own unique features such as mute buttons per channel, manual transpose knob and 1V/oct transpose CV input. Akropoli operates using our proprietary TOOL V2 code, and can count in integers as well as multiples for even more subtle and evolving variations:• top of the dial is /1• clockwise from the top are /2, /4, /8, /16, /32, /64, /128• anticlockwise from the top are /3, /5, /6, /7, /9, /10, /11Akropoli is a generative sequencer based around clock divisions and a chromatic quantiser, used to create in-the-moment licks and riffs. It is more that the sum of it’s parts.Akropoli’s internal operations can be considered as 4 clock dividers patched into a CV mixer via attenuators. The attenuators select notes over a 5 octave range, the clock dividers determine how often those notes are added to the mix. The final output of Akropoli is quantized chromatically for fast set up and continuously pleasing results. Akropoli has an onboard transposition knob, as well as a 1V/oct transposition CV input. The 4 clock dividers are labelled A, B, C, and D. They all receive clocks from the same source, the divisions may be selected using the presets and the individual division selectors. The clock dividers can be set to count up, down, or to one of a variety of modes that move between counting up and down. For further information on Presets and Modes see the Little Melody User Guide.Additionally, each clock divider has it’s own binary output (either high or low), these 4 outputs can be used to clock/gate/trigger other stuff on other modules to great effect.DIY-Kit-Type:THT-Kit-1. Infinitely Maybe is a full featured randomness module, with a number of sources of randomness:• White noise• Pink noise• Sample and hold circuit• Random gates circuitAn onboard CV mixer allows you to mix two different sources into the sample and hold circuit. White noise is normalised to CV input 1, Pink noise is normalised to CV input 2Infinitely Maybe has an onboard clock for triggering the sample and hold circuit. This may be overridden with an external clock if required via the clock in socket. There is a built in LAG circuit, which enables the S/H OUT to slide between voltages at a predetermined rate. This function can be remotely controlled via the LAG INFinally, a random gates output is derived from the S/H Out. With the MAYBE knob at 0 a constant gate is available. Frequency Central - Shapes
Frequency Central - Shapes

available

Shapes is a wide ranging and fully analogue oscillator which can perform duties as both auxilliary VCO* as well as VC-LFO. Shapes can be configured to cycle continuously, or to provide one-shot shaped outputs. When set to one-shot mode, Shapes may be used as an ersatz envelope generator.Using the Time knob, Shapes can cycle from as low as 8 seconds (whale song) to as high as 19500Hz (bat beeps).Shapes has 3 simultaneous outputs:sawtooth (+/-5V, 10Vpp)ramp (+/-5V, 10Vpp)triangle (+/-5V, 10Vpp)Additional waveforms may be derived courtesy of the Shape knob. Anticlockwise from 0 achieves progressively logarithmic sawtooths and ramps, whereas clockwise from 0 achieves progressively exponential sawtooths and ramps. The effect of the Shape knob on the triangle waveform is asymmetric, anticlockwise from 0 achieves progressively logarithmic leading edge, whereas clockwise from 0 achieves progressively exponential falling edge. Progressively exponential triangle waveforms can be achieved using the Time CV knob (set Shape knob to 0) providing there is no jack in the Time CV input socketTime CV input provides wide ranging control of time. It is possible to dial in something approaching 1V/oct over a limited range, although Shapes has not been designed to perform as an accurately tracking VCO. In the audio range, Shapes comes into it’s own when used as a ‘daughter’ VCO to an external ‘mother’ VCO by patching the ‘mother’ VCO into Shapes’ Gate In input socket – some impressive oscillator sync style effects can be achieved.Gate In can also be used to initiate waveforms in one-shot mode, where a pulse of any length will cause Shapes to complete one cycle.*Shapes has not been designed to perform as an accurately tracking audio VCO.DIY-Kit-Type:THT-Kit-1. This is a Do-It-Yourself kit, not an assembled module. The kit includes all parts to build the module. Only trough-hole parts to solder. Make sure to check the build guide before you buy. Macro ControllerKNOBI is a multi-tool able to mix, attenuate, invert, display and multiply any kind of signal. Knobi can serve a wide range of purposes thanks to its internal signal path that makes use of some of the most useful building blocks of analog synthesis: a 4-channel mixer, a three-range offset, an attenuverter, a fixed manual gate and lastly a cascading multiple derived from the output stage of Agogô.a, b, c and d are Knobi’s inputs while r is a fixed 5v reference output. The toggle switch next to d sets the range of the offset - the big knob below the meter. Connect a signal into one of the inputs to visualize its voltage value in the three digits meter. Keep in mind that this reading happens post offset and attenuverter - the smaller knob with (-) and (+) indications. The pushbutton next to x4 adds a gate of 5v to the mix: with no input connected it will act as a manual gate output. Autopatch the r reference output into one of the inputs to use Knobi as a macro controller thanks the offset knob and switch to set the range and the attenuverter.x1, x2, x3 and x4 are all cascading copies of the final signal path. Plugging a cable will break the normalization and the multiplication will reset starting from the next output. Four cables plugged in will output a copy at the same factor x1 - unity gain - making Knobi a versatile buffered multiple.Features:• Thermally compensated 5v voltage source with dedicated output.• Four channel mixer with four buffered output.• Built in 3 digits voltage meter post mix / attenuation / inversion.• Offset with a dedicated three positions range toggle.• Manual gate button tied to the mix.• 4 cascading outputs in an open design configuration.• Unique signal path: mix - attenuate - invert - add - visualize - multiplicate.• “Whatever” power connector a.k.a. don’t mind the polarity.DIY-Kit-Type:SMD-Kit-1.
