Neutral Labs - Luna (Desktop)
Neutral Labs - Luna (Desktop)

available

This is the DIY Desktop version of this unit.Logic, Unbound. Meet Luna. The first serious Lunetta synthesizer.Look beyond clean waveforms and predictable polyphony. Luna takes you back to a time when digital didn’t mean perfect. It meant raw. Inspired by the subterranean DIY culture of the 70s and 80s, Luna is a love letter to the Lunetta machines of old – living, breathing organisms built from CMOS logic chips. But where those machines were fragile experiments, Luna is a weaponised instrument of sonic confusion. The Nervous System Exposed. True to the Neutral Labs philosophy, we don’t believe in hiding the magic behind an opaque faceplate. Luna features exposed CMOS inputs and outputs directly on the front panel. You're not simply patching cables – you are rewiring the brain of the synthesizer itself. Combine signals, bend logic, and physically intervene in the computation to create sounds that shouldn’t exist.Rhythm is Timbre. Timbre is Rhythm. In the world of Luna, there is no difference between a sequencer and an oscillator. The same digital pulse that drives a bass line can be accelerated into a screeching lead or folded into a metallic drone.Five oscillators provide the raw material. A chaotic array of logic blocks (XOR, NOT, AND, shift registers, counters, multiplexer) chews up those signals and spits out complex, evolving mathematical noise.Taming the Digital Mess. Raw logic can be harsh. To turn this binary chaos into music, Luna feeds its digital soul through three organic low-pass gates. These analogue circuits impart a natural decay and percussive punch to the madness, transforming mathematical errors into bongos, plucks, and thumping basslines.Drench it in Atmosphere. Once you’ve constructed your signal, destroy it again. Luna comes equipped with a suite of effects – distortion, delay, reverb, chorus, bitcrusher, phaser and more – to smear your logic into a wash of ambient bliss or gritty industrial texture.Features:• 5 oscillators• Logic gates (2 XOR, 2 NOT, 2 AND)• 5 logic blocks (5-step ring counter, 4-bit binary counter, 2 shift registers, 4-channel multiplexer)• 3 touchpads that generate logic signals• 3 channels for audio manipulation (low-pass gates with adjustable decay and switchable trigger mode, gain, tilt EQ)• 13 audio effects freely assignable to 2 effect slots running in series (drive, delay, reverb, 6 filter types, bitcrusher, phaser, chorus, comb filter)• CV control for effects and 2 oscillators• MIDI control over 2 oscillators, all 3 low-pass gates, and 3 logic outputs• 2 sequencers with up to 64 steps, syncable to clock or MIDI• Headphone-compatible audio outputDIY-Kit-Type:SMD-Kit-1. Neutral Labs - Scrooge (Desktop)
Neutral Labs - Scrooge (Desktop)

available

This is the DIY Desktop version of this unit with black panel.Scrooge is a sequenced malfunction generator, available as a 42 HP Eurorack module or semi-modular desktop synth. While you can convince it to deliver boomy kick drum sounds, clicky hi-hats or metallic snares, it would much rather be making glitchy artifacts, hollow crackles and horribly distorted growls. It contains a sophisticated and performance-oriented step sequencer with parameter locking and the possibility to control all steps across multiple tracks at once. Its 5 distinct and fully analog voices are made up of special circuits that work without dedicated power supplies, scrounging power from the sequencer control signals instead, which gives them an organic and unstable quality. As a bonus, it means you won’t have to power the unit itself if you sequence it from external gear.Features:• 5 distinct analog voices• device can work passively without a power supply if sequenced from external gear• each voice can be routed to either of 2 main outputs (headphone compatible)• individual voice outputs• individual voice CV inputs that respond well to audio signals• 2 modulation tracks, individually routable to voices• 2 modulation CV inputs• onboard step sequencer    * parameter locking per step    * "control all" mode (change parameters for several steps and tracks at once), great for interactive playing    * arbitrary step length per track (up to 64 steps)    * generative algorithm builds random variations on patterns (available while performing), or creates random patterns from scratch    * pattern chaining (up to 32 patterns)    * stores up to 128 patterns in 16 banks    * microtiming    * CV slew limiter per track• can sequence external gear• sync output• sync and reset inputs• MIDI input (TRS type A)• Bamboo wood caseDIY-Kit-Type:SMD-Kit-1. Crum Drum is a 4-voice drum machine with built in randomization and probability based sequencing designed by NYSTRÖMRhythms can be created and manipulated using the internal random sequencer or externally via MIDI USB. Press the beat button to generate new rhythms, adjust the probability to create continuous variations, and increase the randomness to modulate the sound of your beats! Generated sequences can also be sent out via MIDI USB and Crum Drum can also sync via analog clock in and out.The four voices of Crum Drum are Kick, Snare, HiHat and Bass (FM). There are 8 parameters knobs to sculpt the character of each voice allowing for wide variety of tones. It’s easy to create varied and organic sequences by adding modulation via the Probability and Randomness controls. Probability sets the chance that the selected voice will play per step of the sequence, while randomness increases the parameter modulation for each voice. The higher the randomness, the more each instrument parameter is modulated per step. Some of the instrument parameter controls have different behaviours depending on which voice is selected, so make sure to check the user manual for full details.Crum Drum features four global effects which are: Overdrive, Reverb, Delay and Swing. The delay-time is tempo synced and the subdivided differently dependent on the BPM.Power is provided via micro usb cable (not included)Features:• 4 instruments: Kick, Snare, HiHat, Bass• 8 sound parameters per instrument• Overdrive, Reverb, Delay & Swing• Send & Recieve Analog & Midi USB clock• Send & Receive Midi USB sequencing• Randomised and probability based sequencing

Horrorscape Synthesizer - sculpting feedback into sonic art!Audrey II is a horrorscape synthesizer designed for fearless exploration of feedback. Unpredictable yet compelling, it transforms chaotic sound into immersive soundscapes. From deep, haunting drones to screeching, otherworldly tones, Audrey II is a sonic beast like no other.Feedback Synthesis? What is feedback, really? It’s that magical moment when sound loops on itself, evolving into something wild. With Audrey II, we’re taking feedback to the next level using Karplus-Strong synthesis—a fancy term for turning short bursts of noise into rich, self-sustaining tones. Think digital strings, but way cooler.Digital WitchcraftSome say analog is the only way to get that sound… We were surprised too when we heard the first burst of noise coming through our headphones. That warmth, the grit, the unpredictability—it was all there. But here’s the twist: Audrey II is 100% digital, running on the almighty Daisy Seed platform.Built from the ground up to emulate analog chaos, digital bits power every nuance of Audrey II’s feedback, distortion, and reverb-drenched echoes. It’s pure digital magic that doesn’t just imitate analog—it embraces and amplifies it. What you hear isn’t just a close approximation; it’s a whole new breed of sound that pushes digital synthesis into uncharted territory.Pristine SoundPowered by the Daisy Seed microcontroller, Audrey II delivers 96kHz / 24-bit audio with the speed of an ARM Cortex-M7 at 480MHz. Equipped with 64MB of SDRAM, it handles complex feedback, drones, and effects seamlessly, pushing digital synthesis into rich, analog-like territory. The Signal Flow01. Karplus-Strong Synthesis & Distortion‍The signal begins with Karplus-Strong synthesis, a method of string synthesis that creates resonant, droning tones—adding layers of harmonics to emulate organic vibrations, while feedback and distortion weave in raw, aggressive edges.02. ReverbNext, the signal passes through a rich, spacious reverb, allowing the drone and feedback to bloom, creating haunting and immersive atmospheres.03. FiltersFollowing the reverb, Audrey II utilizes high-pass and low-pass filters with a body control to shape the sound further, revealing hidden overtones and harmonic textures that can add either warmth or an eerie sharpness to the feedback.04. Tape Delay EmulationFinally, the signal reaches a tape delay emulator that further degrades and expands the sound, adding layers of movement, modulation, and a classic tape echo feel that’s both nostalgic and unpredictable.05. Stereo OutputTo top it all off, Audrey II’s stereo output widens the soundstage, creating a sense of depth and space that immerses you in rich, layered textures. With stereo feedback flowing through the chain, each element takes on new dimensions, allowing you to push the boundaries of sonic space.Driven & Open SourceAudrey II is a collaborative project born from the Synthux Academy community, where music technology enthusiasts, designers, and engineers come together to push creative boundaries. Developed by Nick Donadson from Infrasonic Audio and designed by Roey Tsemah, founder of Synthux Academy, Audrey II embodies the spirit of exploration and innovation that drives this community.Audrey II’s firmware is available on our GitHub, inviting anyone to dive into the code, make modifications, or build upon its foundation. This open-source approach empowers makers not only to experiment with Audrey II’s sound but to shape its future, contribute enhancements, and share discoveries with the Synthux Academy community.
